PEPE is a wealth-creation programme, which aims to stimulate investment in private enterprise in order to create jobs & increase household incomes for the poor. Purpose of the Job
This position in the Monitoring and Result Measurement (MRM) unit will be responsible for guiding implementation teams and their partners/ co-facilitators for proper monitoring and result measurement activities; which entails constraint analysis in selected sectors/markets, supporting implementation teams design strategy & plan activities, baseline assessments, impact assessments, field & desk research, third party research, data processing, reporting etc.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
Lead or support activities/ processes in order to achieve strategic objectives of the unit and division
As focal person for selected working markets/ sectors:
Contribute to the quality of information collected and used in strategy formulation, designing and implementation of interventions
Lead/guide/support implementation team in execution of necessary MRM processes and preparation of needed outputs in alignment with the PEPE MRM Handbook and the DCED Standard
Ensure quality of interventions implemented and results measured (during and post intervention phase monitoring)
Support higher management with information to steer interventions and assessments
Provide necessary assistance in formulation and development of case studies, semester report, annual report, business plan, special studies and other similar documents periodically
Seek new opportunities to work as per PEPE strategy
Assist implementation team in data analysis and aggregation
Liaise with co-facilitators, partners, external evaluation/ review/ assessment teams to carry out the functions mentioned above
Conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of activities
Guide field staff in carrying out monitoring and assessments
Play role in creation of knowledge repository for the project
Comply with the PEPE operations manual
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in meetings
Prepare necessary reports and data compilations
Carry out any other duties that may arise in the course of the project. These duties will be undertaken after mutual agreement between the MRM analyst and manager, MRM.
Participate in relevant procurements as required and track expenditure against contracts
Maintain professional working relationships with partners, stakeholders and other internal staff
Contribute to a harmonious work environment
Job Requirement
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences or other similar areas
Good aptitude/experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Willingness to travel extensively across Ethiopia
Experience of working in the private sector for 2 years can be an asset but not necessary. Fresh Graduates are also invited to apply
