Duties and Responsibilities The Finance and Administration Manager is expected to drive best practices in financial management, human resources management and administrative management within the organization to maximize efficiency and growth.
Supports operations by supervising staff; planning, organizing, and implementing administrative systems
Maintains administrative staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems
Achieves financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances.
Timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in line with the organizational and statutory requirements and deadlines.
Provide financial management advice on revisions of budgets, preparing periodical forecasts and any changes needed
Management and reconciliation of the bank and cash accounts, preparation of the weekly cash counts and monthly financial records including cashbooks, ensuring financial and resource accountability and effective management for records as required for auditing.
Collection and filing of regular financial reports and budget records.
Recruit and manage Finance/Administration staff in line with good organizational practice
Cover essential duties in the absence of other personnel and carry out other duties as assigned.
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Management.
Demonstrable experience in a similar role of at least 5 years for Degree holders and a minimum of 7 years for diploma preferably those who has experience working for a PLC.
Qualified Accountants (ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent) with relevant experience in a Finance/ Admin function in the field at an appropriate level, and with proven financial analysis and forecasting ability encouraged.
