World Learning Ethiopia (WLE) was established in 1996 basing its Country Office at Addis Ababa and currently implementing HIV combination prevention interventions targeting workforces serving in development sites and corridors of the country. World Learning Ethiopia (WLE) has an immediate opening for MULU Worksite Project.
Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation/Program Assistant
Work Unit: MULU Worksite project
Reports To: MULU Worksite project Coordinator, Adama
Staff Reporting to the Job Holder: None

Position Grade: IV

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collects and encodes data into the Computers data base.
· Consistently check data for accuracy and completeness, and generate preliminary reports
· Provide feedback to Program officers on data collected from intervention sites
· When necessary assist program officers on service, and other data collection & supervision.
· Coordinate/facilitate trainings, and workshops
· Coordinate logistics in the Area Office
· Handle all financial transactions of the area office including preparing cheque and cheque payment vouchers; journal entries for adjustments, and posting all books of records;
· Prepare petty cash payment vouchers, effect payments, and monitor the petty cash fund float and initiate petty cash replenishment;
· Prepare bank and other correspondence letters;
· Prepare bank and petty cash reconciliation including financial reports on a monthly basis;
· Forecast and submit monthly cash need within the time frame;
· Ensure that travel reports are filled out, approved and submitted in due times, calculate actual travel expenses, and submit same to the Area coordinator for approval;
· File financial documents systematically so that they can be retrieved with ease and convenience;
· Compile hard copy of financial documents and send to the country office on a monthly basis;
· Follow up and attaching bank advices on a timely manner;
· Provide the technical support (in terms of accounting of funds) to the implementing partner organizations as appropriate;
Qualifications: Diploma in Accounting, Management, Business or related fields and two years of experience.
Required Skills:
· Experience in data encoding;
· Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions;
· Skill in the use of Peach tree , and calculators;
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
· Knowledge of the local language and cultural norms is an added advantage
· Knowledge of USAID rules and regulation will be a plus.
Terms of Employment: One year, subject to availability of funding.
Salary: As per the scale of the organization
