Main Purpose:
Control the daily cash/check management, by checking the data reliability, tracking invoices and submitting monthly accounts in accordance with the Finance Manager’s instructions and MSF protocols to provide accurate, updated financial information
Main objectives and responsibilities of the position
· Perform currency exchange operations.
· Prepare payments of salaries and allowances.
· Follow-up and encode all movements of the different bank accounts
· Manage bank reconciliations and monthly bank statements.
· Preparation and follow-up of check payments
· Establishes and follows up a planning of the timely payments (utilities, communication, ...) Proactively communicates in order to the payment timely
· Gives support to the preparation of different financial reports or audits
· Ensures a correct annotation and classification of all receipts, invoices ... according to the financial rules
· Archives financial documents according to MSF and national legal requirements
· Makes sure that all legal financial requirements are respected in the payments (deduction of income tax, withholding tax, VAT, TIN numbers, ..
· Update Social security & Tax office employee files in order to meet legal requirements and duties.
· Keep track of bills/vouchers and other running costs and analyze the related information (costs, service contracts ...) to give reliable information about the mission functioning
· Degree or Diploma in accounting or professional diploma in accounting/ administration
· Experience in accounting (minimum 2 years).
· Mission language English and local language essential.
· Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
· Knowledge of the legal accounting requirements and procedures
LOCATION: Shire, Hitsatse & Shimelba Refugees camps, Tigray Regional State
DURATION: 6 months with possibility of Extension
