Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society/MWECS/ is actively working in so many cancer and non communicable diseases-related activities, particularly in raising public awareness of cancer, its prevention and treatment possibilities. The Society began its quest by focusing its initial efforts on paediatric cancer and as of recently, started working on women cancers and tobacco as one of its main focus areas.

Qualifications
A) Education/Training
BA /Degree or Diploma in Accounting\ Finance and Banking
B) Experience
At least 2 years for BA and 4 years for Diploma work experience in related fields in NGO as Accountant is preferable. Excellent usage of Sage Software or Peachtree accounting in the application of the whole process of accounting recording to reporting is mandatory.
C) Technical & Other Skills
Ability to provide high quality of report, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement MWECS’s activities based budget plan;
Demonstrated technical and creative ability, excellent alignment in budgeting, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels;
Good knowledge of GAAP design and creating working formats;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and presentational skills;
Peachtree and other Software like Turbo cash, computer skill.
Assist Finance Manager to produce and coordinate the society’s annual financial budget.
Prepare the draft internal, donor and regional budgets and related reporting and present to final decision.
Monitor society’s expenses on a regular basis, to analyze variances, and report to MWECS to decide on corrective actions if necessary. Analyzing the budget control reports (BCR) and communicates with all projects and through admin and finance manager.
Produce regular and adequate indicators to monitor financial health of the society, producing relevant cost analysis.
Reasons for disqualification
1. Unsummarized work experience.
2. Lack of experience in usage of Sage or Peachtree accounting, QuickBooks or Sun system software.
