Calzedonia Group, an international fashion retail company founded in Italy in 1986 and presently operates in over 40 countries with more than 3,800 sales outlets and employs more than 30,000 employees worldwide. It has several production plants in Eastern Europe and Sri Lanka producing hosiery, socks, underwear, swimwear, and knitwear for the iconic brands Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis and Falconeri.
Along with the continued growth, Calzedonia is in the process of setting-up a Production facility in Mekele (Ashegoda), Ethiopia under the name of “ITACA Textile PLC” and requires a Financial Controller. He/she will be responsible for the accounting-related processes at the production plants, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditure, cost control and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, control and ensure that company accounting activities and procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Develops and executes financial and control procedures tailored to the business.
Ensure that all financial transactions are handled and processed in-line with the approved policies and procedures.
Oversee the daily operations of the finance and administration department.
Provide support to the Management and Department Heads with necessary Management Information, Costing and Variance analysis.
Coordination of relationships with third parties: local tax and public authorities, advisors, banks, auditors.
Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting, periodic management reporting and group reporting requirements.
Responsibility for tax and statistical reports in accordance with local regulations and deadlines.

Job Requirement
A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
A CPA / ACCA / CMA Professional Qualification Preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience preferably in manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and IAS/IFRS principles.
Strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Fluency in English.
ERP Implementation (preferably SAP) experience is a plus.
Honest and reliable, able to maintain utmost confidentiality.
