Christian Aid is looking for a Project Officer who will provide overall support to the Family Planning (FP) FP2020 programme, which includes monitoring, reporting, communication, and technical support and who will be responsible for ensuring the logistical functioning of the platforms. The role holder will also be working as an M&E focal point in-country for the programme, with 30% of the role dedicated to result. .
Key responsibilities will include supporting partner capacity building, managing partner compliance functions, supporting in country platform networks, providing best practice guidance and establishing good working relationships. In addition, the post holder is entrusted with the role of effective support in grant management, resource monitoring of FP2020 programme and documentation of all receipts, reports and other documents from FP2020 partners accurately, both manually and electronically.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who have a skill/experience on partners’ performance management and for developing plans to improve the performance of partner staff, volunteers or others. Moreover, since you may have a project management responsibility for directing work of others and may take a responsibility for ensuring that work quality and professional standards are maintained, the corresponding knowledge and experience for these tasks is highly demanded.
Ability to use M&E system (Syrex), PROMISE, complex procurement processes and understanding of the theory of change for the programme is desirable.
In addition, you need to be educated to at least degree level preferably in statistics, social sciences or development related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ experience in NGO setting on the areas of monitoring and evaluation. It would be desirable for the candidate to have a good understanding of issues such as gender, accountability, policy, and disaster risk reduction.
