The Addis Ababa Operations Officer is a key member of the One Acre Fund Ethiopia team. Working outside of our headquarters, which are found in Bahir Dar, the Operations Officer will provide vital capital city assistance to OAF field and headquarters operations. This is a full-time job with potential for growth, and the team may request occasional visits to Bahir Dar or to field sites outside of Addis Ababa.
Salary: 4500 ETB per month, with the opportunity for a performance-based raise after six months

Responsibilities:
Procurement and logistics
Research potential vendors and suppliers for goods and services
Assess the quality and relative price of goods and services, seeking alternatives as appropriate
Purchase goods and services after all proper approvals are made
Adhere to OAF's Finance and Procurement Policy
Coordinate and execute the transport and storage of goods
Assist with visitor transport, accommodation and orientation
Assist with event coordination and logistics, if necessary
Office assistance and paperwork processing
Collect, transport and print documents and checks
Interface with external parties to understand certain questions, as appropriate
Perform data entry, letter writing, printing and other tasks as requested
Facilities assistance
Help OAF find a suitable office/apartment and furnish it
Ensure the office is stocked with supplies
Ensure that rental properties are well-maintained, that all utilities are paid on time and troubleshoot any issues related to the property
Communication and other activities
Identify issues and problems early and suggesting courses of action to resolve and prevent
Work in collaboration with the Corporate Operations and Procurement team in Bahir Dar, including regular communication and follow-up, including by email and fax
Perform other activities as requested by supervisor
Job Requirement
Candidates who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply:
Diploma in any subject
Proven track record in accomplishing logistical activities on tight deadlines
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Extensive knowledge of industrial materials vendors and the geography of Addis Ababa
Good computer skills, including basic proficiency in e-mail, internet research, MS Excel, and MS Word
Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic
Access to a vehicle and/or a smartphone is an asset
