Description
SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a member of the International Federation of SOS Children’s Villages. It is a non-political, non-religious social development organization focused on the wellbeing and development of children. It was founded in 1974 and it is mainly involved in addressing the needs of children who are at risk of losing parental care and those without parental care through a structured family based care model, family strengthening programs, education and other social programs. Currently it has seven program locations and operates in Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Harar, Hawassa, Bahir Dar, Gode and Jimma.
SOS Children’s Villages Program-Hawassa, therefore, wants to hire experienced and competent consulting firm/consultants to prepare Good Practice Magazine Publication.
General Objective
To prepare high quality Magazine depicts the three years implementation of the community driven responses project of the Family Strengthening Program activities for organizational memories and lesson learning.
Qualification and Experience of the Consultant
i. The production team should possess higher qualifications ( MA, BA) plus 5 years relevant experience in the fields of communications, Public Relations, languages & literature and journalism , photography and cinematography ,social psychology
ii. Ample experience in international and local media agencies such as the Ethiopian Television and Radio Agency, local FM stations and prominent newspapers in the capacity of program managers, producers and editors.
iii. The team is drawn from a group of media, communication and professionals who have ample experience and expertise in the areas of child, family and community development.
iv. Experience in the development of high quality magazines is an asset.
