ABOUT US
GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced worker to join Head Office, Finance team and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organization at a moving time of growth and change and you’ll be instrumental in providing support in the delivery of the Program to the organization and its employees.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an officer experienced in managing transaction coding and posting all financial information to respective cash books in SAGE and in generally assisting the Finance Team.
REQUIREMENTS:
· BA/Diploma in Accounting or related field with 2/4 years’ experience in Finance in an NGO environment
· Very good application of SAGE and BMT.
· High level of accuracy, attention to details.
· Ability to deliver task on deadline.
· Very good knowledge and application of MS-Office, especially Excel.
· Good English communication skill (written and spoken).
· Experience and knowledge of USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, Irish Aid, etc. fund management.
· Team oriented, flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
· Sensitive to cross cutting issues like gender, accountability, child protection and HIV/AIDS.
Desirable requirements:
· ACCA qualified.
· Knowledge and application of advanced excel.
· Knowledge and application of other accounting software package, Peach-tree, SUN, etc.
· Managing work under pressure.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary
Birr 11,527.00/month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary and 300 taxi fare.
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Pension – 11 % from the employer and 7 % from the employee
