For our Ethiopian subsidiary, which was established in 2012 and where we launched our very first prototype, we are looking for a dynamic Business Development Officer at the earliest date possible. We are looking for a personality that is excited by the challenge of leading the steep growth of an innovative company with an experienced and highly motivated team in the space of renewable energy and who is keen to live and work in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, for at least two years.
Responsibilities:
The Business Development Officer is responsible to lead the development of geographical expansion strategies on a national and regional level; ultimately, s/he will be responsible for locating and finalizing outlet location that will be integrated into a comprehensive regional and national expansions strategy. For that s/he is responsible to gather all relevant data from available sources, i.e. from the internet, statistical/census offices, private companies, NGOs, government sources on national, regional and community level, and liaise with all involved parties accordingly in order to establish a positive relationships. Moreover, the Business Development Officer has to drive regularly (at least 50% of the time) into the field to verify suitability of potential sites and quality of infrastructure on-site, and to conduct site surveys of sites in pre-selected areas.
