GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Internal Auditor to join the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time of growth and change. You’ll be instrumental for the supply chain management capacity and emergency preparedness capacity to serve development and emergency needs of the organisation.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Internal Auditor with humanitarian and development work experience. You'll execute the internal audit activity, coordinate specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the annual audit plan, monitoring compliance, preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations, and providing assurance of compliance with statutory requirements, GOAL policies and procedures, as well as donor requirements. The purpose of the audit is to provide the senior management objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve GOAL operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
· BA degree in accounting or related field with a minimum of five years of work experience.
· Experience working on projects funded by USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, Irish Aid etc.
· Judgment and Conceptual thinking: ability to identify key audit issues, present sensitive and difficult audit findings and recommendations to management;
· Positive and constructive attitude to work
· Good interpersonal skills with audit colleagues and auditors;
· Excellent writing and spoken communication skill in English
· Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and giving attention to details.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, and Power Point; expertise in desktop publishing is required.
· Ability to analyses and synthesize a Varity of material in a fast – paced environment;
· Ability to work on their own, a self-starter with high energy levels and the capability to work with in a multi-cultural team.

Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary Birr 14,975.00 per month
Transportation Allowance, 10% of monthly salary and additional 300 birr taxi fare
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
