GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Roving Admin and HR Officer to join the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time of growth and change. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring to work closely with Programme and support staff in field and Head Office.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced officer with humanitarian and development work experience. You'll have had demonstrable exposure for the overall human resource management activities at Head Office level, including recruitment, staff benefit administration, handling HR correspondences, processing staff termination, staff payroll administration, maintaining HR documentation, providing information to & guiding staff in relation to elements of the HR Manual, work towards the proper implementation of the HR Manual, follow up expat administration, involve in staff training and development issues and liaising with HR focal persons in programme office level with regards to the above-mentioned HR issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Diploma/BA in HRM, Business/Public Administration, Management or related field with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience for Diploma holder and 2 yrs experience for BA holder.
· General management/administration skills.
· Very good human relation skills, ability to explain
· Very good planning & organizing skills, very good orientation to detail.
· High commitment to maintain an up-to-date and efficient HR information and record keeping system.
· Adherence to the requirements set by the HR Manual and donor guidelines.
· High commitment to confidentiality.
· Team oriented, flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered desirable for the specific post):
· Familiarly to donor guidelines.
· Strong knowledge in interpretation and application of Ethiopian Labor Law and other relevant legislations relevant to HR.
· Background in advanced excel/Access/Data management tools
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary : Birr 11,527.00 per month
Transportation Allowance, 10% of monthly salary and additional 300 birr taxi fare
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
