GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Senior CMAM Programme Officer for its Humanitarian Response Programmes with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality to lead, inspire and manage the overall operation of the Community based Management of Acute Malnutrition team.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Senior Officer with humanitarian work experience. You'll be responsible for the overall management of the day to day activities of a GOAL Community based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) in the assigned Field site. The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day operation of the team and work in liaison with MoH officials to ensure that all aspects of the project are understood and agreed by MoH.
· BSc/Diploma in Public Health, Nursing or related field with two to four years relevant experience for BSC/Diploma holder,
· Strong knowledge of operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation and report writing,
· Good knowledge, understanding and implementation of integrated Rural Development and emergency Programme activities,
· Ability to plan and organize work to meet individual, team and programme objective,
· Training and facilitation skill,
· Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,
· Fosters working in teams & team work spirit, coach and lead staff.
· Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local language,
· Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,
· Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
· Understanding of the HRP nature and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.
· Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
· Initiative and able to achieve results.
· Attention to details.
· Sensitive to cross cutting issues like gender, accountably, child protection and HIV/AIDS.

Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: - Birr 11,527.00
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Pension – 11 % from the employer and 7 % from the employee
Hardship Allowance, 30% - 50% of monthly salary based on place of assignment.
