Background:
The Dire Dawa Private Health Facilities Association is established with the goal of creating a strong and dependable private health sector committed to provide quality and equitable health care to the public through strengthening public-private partnership in health. To realize its vision the association will build institutional and operational capacities of members, promote networking and services integration among private health facilities and help create enabling environment for the development of the private health sector. In order to implement successful programs the Association will closely work with State and Non-State stakeholders and development partners.
The Association administers its operation through a Secretariat office that mainly pursue activities for enhanced participation of Members and the Association in the Regional and National health services, policy discussion, advocacy and networking. The Association’s Executive Officer will lead the Secretariat office of the Association programmatically and administratively to execute an annual work plan the Association approves for the physical year with a partner through a grant and technical support agreement. Per direction of the Board, the officer will work closely with Federal and Regional health sector regulatory bodies, other State Authorities and relevant stakeholders for integration of the private health sector with an improved public – private partnership in health.
