KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB). KNCV is the lead partner in Challenge TB, the new USAID-funded 5-year global program. We lead an international consortium comprising eight partner organizations in addition to KNCV: ATS, FHI 360, IRD, JATA, MSH, PATH, The Union, and WHO. In Ethiopia, Challenge TB is being implemented by KNCV as a lead and MSH and WHO as a collaborating partner. The strategic objectives of Challenge TB are to improve access to patient care, to prevent transmission and disease progression, and to strengthen TB platforms.
Challenge TB-Ethiopia operates from a central office in Addis Ababa with sub-offices in other regional states.

Purpose of the job (general)
Under the guidance and supervision of the Finance and Admin Manager, the receptionist and store keeper is accountable for performing quality, efficient and hands-on services through operating a telephone switchboard as well as a fax machine to take and relay messages. S/he will also be responsible for efficient and effective running of front desk and store management tasks.

He/she reports to HR and Administration Manager
Duties and responsibilities:
Office support
Receives guests and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate office after checking that they have appointment;
Sends and receives mails, parcels official business and personal effects to International and sub-area, regional offices, through DHL, Post Office or hand carried by KNCV/MSH- Challenge TB staff, or visitors.
Maintains and operates quality and efficient communication services through Operating a telephone switchboard and fax machine.
Verifies telephone bills and initiate payment processes;
Ensures that the reception area is quiet and neat and create professional working atmosphere;
Handles general communication of incoming and outgoing phones and letters
Perform photocopying and binding of document as requested
Run errands to assist daily functioning of office: post office, bank etc.
Ensures that the overall office environment is in compliance with safety and health standards.
Assist during events including setting up, registration and other tasks as needed
Property management
Ensures proper stock management system by establishing/updating catalogue of all property items kept in the general store
Provides update on the status of stored items including type, amount, pipelines if requested.
Ensures that KNCV-MSH Challenge TB resources (property, telephone, office supplies etc) are properly used for project purposes so that unauthorized personal used are avoided. Report any unauthorized use to the respective staff’s supervisor.
Keeps copies of all office keys in safeguarded manner with strict

Experienced administrative professional who is reliable, highly organized and has a positive attitude
Self-starter who can work independently
Skilled in establishing priorities and managing workload
Good oral and written communication skills of English language.
Ability to follow instructions
Previous experience in office setting required
Technologically literate with basic computer skills
Good organization skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical)
