The primary functions of the positions are to read and understand work orders as well as assemble, test, and inspect electronics parts and individual components using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment. These positions work as part of assembly team to ensure that daily production, quality, and safety goals are met. Duties as a trainee will include, but not be limited to the following essential functions and performing related duties as assigned.
· Participate in the training program on scheduled and regular basis.
· Complete the assigned “On-The-Job Training and Project Assignment training program.
· Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electro-mechanical assembly of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
· Familiarity with assembly tools, processes, and terminology
· Ability to read schematics, drawings, and assembly instructions.
· Working knowledge of industry color and numeric codes.
· Will be responsible for safety, quality and daily production goals.
· Understanding of the application and functioning of test equipment
. Visually inspects assemblies in progress to ensure compliance to specifications, assembly drawings and schematics.
. Fills out and maintains necessary paperwork. Ensures paperwork is compliant with quality instructions and manufacturing job instructions.
· Actively participates in the Quality Improvement System.
· Know and follow established job specific and site wide health and safety procedures and rules.
· Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to supervisor and/or management’s attention.
· Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain the 5S+ Check sheet.
· Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged.
· Performs other duties as required.
· Technical/Vocational school diploma or relevant electronics experience
· Basic soldering & de-soldering skills
· Basic computer knowledge
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy
· Good communication skills and very cooperative in a team environment
· Excellent manual dexterity and hand - eye coordination to manipulate components or product parts
Term of Employment: Fixed Term 4-6 months contract with possible extension
