Ethiopian Agricultural Commodities Warehousing Services Enterprise (EACWSE) is established through the Council of Ministers regulation No. 331/2014 to handle mainly warehousing and quality services of agricultural commodities separately and independently as an offspring of the Ethiopia Commodity Enterprise (ECX).
Therefore, the Enterprise invites competent and qualified internal/External candidates for the following positions.
Position Title: -Manager, ComplianceDuty Station: - Addis Ababa
Availability: - As soon as possibleJob Purpose
Manage the Compliance Unit. Coordinate the activities of warehouse surveillance and legal services. Oversee compliance is maintained with the relevant laws and regulations; alert on warehouse conditions and circumstances that threaten the Enterprise’s well being.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Unit;
Manage the preparation and consolidation of the unit’s annual plan and budget as per the Enterprise’s policies and procedures manuals;
Implement the annual plan of the Unit, including any special tasks or projects requested by management and approved by the Chief Legal Service Officer;
Confer and work with the Enterprise’s
Oversee compliance with relevant laws and rules of the Enterprise;
Ensure that warehouses are protected against manipulation and are free from violations;
Alert the Compliance Unit staff on circumstances that threaten warehouse stability, liquidity or jeopardize orderly contract liquidation;
Cooperate in formulating and amending the Rules of the Enterprise;
Manage team to monitor compliance to rules by clients and the Enterprise itself;
Manage team to conduct investigations on violations of the Enterprise’s Rules and other pertinent laws applicable on operations of the Enterprise;
Manage the operations of the Enterprise’s Business Conduct Committee and ensure implementation of its decisions;
Ensure the integrity of the warehouse functions through monitoring and analysis of reports and other techniques;
Direct, lead, guide, support and control staff responsible to him/her to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet all Unit targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards;
Oversee the effective management of key stakeholder relationships and partnership with regard to compliance issues;
Lead the production of compliance performance reports and submit the same to immediate supervisor;
Implement audit recommendations related to the Unit’s activities;
LLM/LLB in Law or related field with 6/8 years of work experience in relevant field of which 5 years at managerial level
