About Using Ethiojobs
Registering on Ethiojobs is FREE and easy.Simply scroll to the top of our homepage and click on the “Register” button.
During the registration process you will be requested to provide some information about yourself. Eg. Name, email address, country of residence, etc.
Without a valid email address, it will not be possible to register on the Ethiojobs site since your email address is used as an account number with us. You will also be required to create a password for yourself. The email address you use to create your Ethiojobs account and its related password are important to remember, as you will require both, to login to your account and access our members’ section.
Registering for an Ethiojobs account enables you: · to create or upload an existing CV making it easy for potential employers to find you; · create alerts for the type of job you want and receive information delivered to your via email, facebook or twitter when the job of your choice becomes available;
Can’t remember your password? Need another one? Don’t worry. Resetting your password is a very simple process.
On the homepage, click on “Login” which will redirect you to the login box. From there, click on the “Forgot Password?” You will be once again redirected to a password recovery page, which will require you to enter the email address you used to register at Ethiojobs. You will receive an email to the same address instructing you how to reset your password.
However, please be aware that we can only send a password reminder to you if you have previously registered an email address and password with us.
To search for jobs all you have to do is simply type in the job you want in the search bar located at the top of the webpage. Alternatively, if you want a more refined search you can browse the different catagories of jobs (Accounting and Finance jobs, Advertising and Media jobs…) located just below the search bar.
The guest alert service allow you to get job alerts without registering on Ethiojobs.net. To get this service, while searching for jobs you will get a blue icon that reads “email me jobs like this” click on it and subscribe for the service. . Do remember that to apply for most jobs you will have to register on Ethiojobs.net.

Here are the steps on how to search for a Job on Ethiojobs:
If you’re on the Home Page, click on Jobs by Categories, Jobs by Location, Government Jobs or View Latest Jobs to access the various available positions.
If you’re on any other page on the website, you can find a search bar with the direction Find Jobs where you can type in any keyword (“Accounting”, “Customer Service”, etc.) to find the job you’re looking for
Alternatively, if you want a more detailed search, you can go back to the Home Page by clicking on the Ethiojobs logo on the top right side of the website and click on Advanced Search right below the search bar on the top part of the home page.
Yes, it is completely free of charge to all job seekers.
If you are an existing user, go to the home page, and at the top right corner of the page, click on the “Login “ icon and type your user name and password which you have used upon creating an Ethiojobs account and then click on the “Login’ icon. If you don’t have an account, go to the home page, and at the top right of the page, click on the “Register” icon, get started by filling out your email address and password. And then click on the “Register” icon after filling out the details.
Before creating an account make sure you have a valid e-mail address, that you will be able to access in case you lose your password or get job alert notifications to your inbox in the future.
Here are the steps to follow: If you are on the home page, at the top right corner of the page
  • Click on the “REGISTER” icon,
  • Type your E-MAIL and PASSWORD ,
  • Click on the “REGISTER”

You then will be successfully logged in to your Ethiojobs account. Alternatively, you can also register with your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Gmail accounts.
If you are an existing user, log in to your Ethiojobs account. In your profile account, on the left side of the page,
  • Click on “MY JOB ALERTS”
  • Click on “ADD NEW JOB ALERT”
  • Select and fill out “JOB CATEGORIES, CAREER LEVEL, AND FREQUENCY”
  • Click on “SAVE”

Your job alert will then be set up based on the categories you had chosen.
If the application instruction on the vacancy announcement says to apply using the Ethiojobs website, follow these steps:
  • Login to your Ethiojobs account,
  • UPDATE your CV and cover letter in your account or on any saved device
  • Search for the vacancy announcement you want to apply for,
  • Click on the “APPLY NOW” button at the top or bottom section of the vacancy announcement page.
  • UPLOAD your CV either from your computer/ any device or your Ethiojobs profile account.
  • Include your cover letter section by either attaching or building one.
  • Click on the “SEND “button.

The application will then be submitted directly to the company or employer. For a successful submission, view your sent out applications in the “APPLIED JOBS” category list in your Ethiojobs profile account.
Note that once you send out your applications
  • CV cannot be deleted or reapplied or removed
  • Supporting documents should not be attached unless the company request
  • Your CV should not exceed 5MB
Before uploading your CV, make sure save your CV is in a Word or PDF format and it shouldn’t exceed 5MB. These steps can help you upload your CV on Ethiojobs webiste.
  • Login to your account - on the left side of your profile page
  • Click on “My CV”,
  • If you have an existing CV select the second box, and fill out the dialog boxes and upload your CV

N.B: Never attach your supporting documents
Go to the homepage, at the top right corner of the page
  • Click on “LOGIN”,
  • When you the login dialog box is displayed, at the bottom, click on “FORGOT PASSWORD”,
  • Fill in the E-mail address you used to register on Ethiojobs
  • Click on “REST PASSWORD”.
  • Open another browser or tab
  • Login to your email address ( Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail…etc.) , You will then receive an email to the same address instructing you how to reset your password.
  • Go to Ethiojobs login page and login with your new password.
The service allows you to get job alerts without registering on Ethiojobs.net. To get this service, while searching for jobs you will get a blue icon that reads “Email me jobs like this” click on it and subscribe for the service.
We recommend you have an updated version of your CV in word or pdf format for your reference before creating one on Ethiojobs.net.
Using the email address and password used to create your Ethiojobs.net account, login in to the user panel. Click the “My CV’s” button, which will redirect you to a page where you can create a new CV by filling in the short form with relevant information about your education and work history.
Once you have completed the suggested information, click “Post” to submit your CV.
Ethiojobs.net enables you to create three different CVs that you can continuously customize and use when applying for different jobs.
Jobseekers are advised to create a personal account with Ethiojobs.net before applying. Registering with us allows you:
  • to keep track of applications;
  • create job alerts
  • receive private messages from potential employers;
  • save jobs to apply for at a later time, etc
To apply for a vacancy that you have seen:
  • Login to your personal account by entering the email address and password associated with your account
  • Click the “Apply Now” button on the description page for the job you are interested in
  • When a pop-up window appears, paste or type in your cover letter for the job you're applying for.
  • Next, select the desired CV from the drop-down list or attach a separate CV file. (If you have not created a CV, the drop-down list will not appear and you will have to attach an external CV file).
  • When finished, click the “Apply” button and wait for a confirmation message indicating the successful submission of your application.
To view the status of your application online, follow the steps below:
  • Login onto your Ethiojobs account.
  • Click the "My Applications" button, located on your personal account page.
  • You should be able to see the status of your applications on this page.

To receive personal feedback on the status of any of your applications, you will need to directly contact the recruiting agency or employing company that advertised the vacancy on the Ethiojobs site.
To change or update some of your personal details associated with your account, login with username and password. Click the “My Profile” button on the user dashboard and proceed to change the relevant information. When you are satisfied with the changes, click the “Save” button. If you change the email address associated with your account, you will need to log out and log back in with the new email address you provide.
