Some scholarships have money earearkmd solely for books or tuition or whatever. Others don’t. If you have enough left over, by all means pay rent with it! My husband and I pay 6 months rent at each disbursement. Then we don’t have rent-stress added onto our loads and we also don’t have dorm noise. A dorm may be cheaper if you live alone though, unless you want to get roommates in your apartment.
