TEBITA AMBULANCE AND PRE-HOSPITAL EMREGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE (TAPHEMS) is the first ambulance and emergency service of its kind in Ethiopia. TAPHEMS was established in November 2008 by a dedicated professional anesthetist who has over 20 years of hand on experience in anesthesia and emergency medical service in Ethiopia.
TEBITA is primarily aimed at providing emergency ambulance service, creating awareness on first aid and health safety through formal trainings, and mass media and advocating for the development of well-organized emergency medical services and management.
Since its establishment, TEBITA has been delivering all the stated services with high professionalism, and enthusiasm. This in turn brought about a firm recognition from all stakeholders – the government, the community, partners, donors, individuals, etc. TEBITA embarks on a concerted grand mission and articulated goals and objectives that guide its initiative.
