About Network of Organizations of/for the Visually Impaired and the Blind (NOVIB) NOVIB was established in 2007 by local civil society organizations (CSOs) who work on disability issues, with particular emphases on visual impairment. The Network was launched at a Founding Conference conducted from 20th-22nd, September 2007, and facilitated with the financial and technical support of STICHTING DIR and other Dutch-based international organizations.

VISION

NOVIB envisions an inclusive and accessible physical and social environment where persons with visual and other impairments enjoy equal opportunities in all aspects of life.

MISSION

NOVIB promotes the educational, economic and psycho – social empowerment of persons with visual and other impairments through enhancing the implementation capacity of member organizations, advocating the equalization of opportunities and inclusive development practice, and public sensitization.
