Why Work For Us?

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In Ethiopia and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share. Save the Children started working in Ethiopia in the 1930s and has had a continued presence since the 1960s.

We offer careers across a whole range of professions - whether in hands-on international and sustainable development sectors including education, health, nutrition, child protection, and migration as well as food security and livelihoods or humanitarian work. We also offer opportunities with our support functions such as HR, IT, Finance, Legal, or Global Assurance. Whatever your profession, or career level, your contribution will help ensure children's voices are heard at the highest levels, and that we achieve our global strategy, Ambition for Children 2030, and ensure every child survives, is educated, and protected.
