Evangelischer Entwicklungsdient (EED) is a non-implementing international NGO supporting local faith based and civil society partners in implementing projects in areas of food security, health care, education, and capacity building in the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, and South Sudan).
EED is now looking to fill the following position in its office in Ethiopia: Project Officer (Full Time)
Key areas of work
The Project Officer will be part of a highly efficient and motivated team of national and international development experts. She or he will contribute towards the effective working of the team by assuming shared responsibility for managing a multifaceted portfolio of partners and projects within the region Horn of Africa. Key aspects of work include:
- Project Cycle Management (PCM), preparing and participating in partner consultations
- Conceptualization and planning of development interventions
- Networking and cooperation with a wide variety of stakeholders on all levels
- Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of projects and finances
- Drafting of proposals, reports and analyses
- Support for consultancies: i.e. planning, terms of references (ToRs), backstopping, quality assurance, contract management
- Preparation and support of internal decision-making processes in a results-, team-oriented and timely manner
- Continuous documentation of workflows and results.
