The Ethiopian Catholic Church Social and Development Coordinating Office of Awassa (ECC-SADCO) acts as the central diocesan administrative body for all social and development activities in the Vicariate of Awassa, serving the south of Ethiopia (parts of SNNPR and Oromiya Regions).
As one of the branches of the National Ethiopian Catholic Secretariat, ECC-SADCO is responsible to administer, formulate policies, build capacity and support the Church’s personnel to respond to the spiritual, material, social and full human development needs of the people in the communities we serve. The program is vaste and varied, including education (49 schools), health (13 health centres), women's promotion, water and emergency relief.
