About RAIN Foundation
RAIN’s country capacity centre works to assist governments and other bodies in the country/region with their response to WASH, landscape development and capacity development challenges. It also assists in the developing a proper resource utilisation of rainwater and how to harness this water for household use, food security, climate change impact mitigation and ecosystem conservation.
The mission of the RHCC (Rainwater Harvesting Capacity centre) is to “influence, encourage and assist societies in Ethiopia and the wider Eastern region to sustainably harvest and manage rainwater to ensure clean water supply, biodiversity conservation, equitable development and improved human wellbeing.”

The goal of the RHCC programme is “to build operational and technical capacity, knowledge development and mainstream the Rainwater Harvesting approach (RWH) into WASH, land management climate change adaptation and resilience building and food security (policy and practice) in Ethiopia”.
