Course Description
An increased pace of globalization has been driving novel challenges across nearly every sector be it public or private. Meanwhile, the public sector along with non-governmental entities and other donor recipients have ended up under enhanced scrutiny. Society has been calling for greater accountability, transparency, and effectiveness of development programs and both internal and external stakeholders demand tangible results. As program performance transforms itself into a global phenomenon, building and sustaining effective monitoring and evaluation systems become crucial.
Designing and implementing a results-based M&E system does not fall under the list of easy tasks. Continuous efforts, commitment, time, and resources are vital inputs that need to be spared to achieve desired results. In addition, creating a system that works and then sustaining it requires thorough knowledge of its architecture and peculiarities.
This training aims to help its participants gain a detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of results-based monitoring and evaluation system architecture, its applications, and the challenges associated with the implementation. Upon the completion of the program, its delegates shall possess the required skills, along with holistic and functional knowledge to deploy, develop, and advance M&E systems within their respected organizations and projects.
