KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB). KNCV is the lead partner in Challenge TB, the new USAID-funded 5-year global program. We lead an international consortium comprising eight partner organizations in addition to KNCV: ATS, FHI 360, IRD, JATA, MSH, PATH, The Union, and WHO. In Ethiopia, Challenge TB is being implemented by KNCV as a lead and MSH and WHO as a collaborating partner. The strategic objectives of Challenge TB are to improve access to patient care, to prevent transmission and disease progression, and to strengthen TB platforms.
Challenge TB-Ethiopia operates from a country office in Addis Ababa with sub-offices in other regional states.
Purpose of the job
The position of Finance Manageris aimed at keeping timely, complete and correct financial transactions and reporting to the internal and external stakeholders. You support the Deputy Country Director- Operations of KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation in the efficient financial management of projects including development of project and office budgets. You ensure the accounting transactions are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, KNCV Policy, and any cost principles imposed by KNCV or donor agency; and agrees with supporting documents. You ensure monthly financial reporting to KNCV in The Netherlands and to donors, monitor availability of funds and you are contact person for audits by external auditor. You are responsible to timely signal over- and under spending of allocated budget.
Who are we looking for?
Your educational background is Master’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 7 or Bachelor Degree in Accounting with 10 years of work experiencein a relevant position.You have at least 5 years work experience in a senior level position in international organizations.You have experience in using financial software like QuickBooks, EXACT and others. Knowledge of 70/30 requirements of charity and society Agency laws, experience of working with USAID or other USG funded projects is required. You are able to work independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues and partners. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken English.
