Context/ Scope
Meta Abo SC was acquired by Diageo in January 2012. Diageo is the world’s largest premium drinks company and is famous for its beer and premium spirits brands including Guinness, Johnnie Walker scotch whisky, Smirnoff vodka and Gordons gin.
Meta Abo produces and distributes its flagship national lager brands of Meta and Meta Premium Lager from its brewery at Sebeta near Addis Ababa.

Meta Abo is currently going through a number of changes and it is critical that we establish an environmental friendly culture that ensures that we safeguard our environment, local community and the globe at large.
The role would look after our production operations in Sebeta as well as out warehouse and sales office in Addis Ababa.
The team looks after the following key activities:
Canteen & Catering
Reception and Mail services
Cleaning
IA visa and work permit
Offices (furnishings, phones, electricity, water, etc)
Facilities is a key enabler in creating a great working environment for our people where they feel they can be in their best.
Purpose of the Role
The Facilities Manager will manage the facility operations at both sites and ensure consistent standards are embedded within agreed budgets. He/she is responsible for flawless delivery of all services provided by the Facilities function and contracted suppliers.
Top Accountabilites
Manage the Facilities function to deliver Diageo standards on compliance as well as targets on service and cost.
Manage contracts and service level agreements with in-house contractors and suppliers.
Track and ensure all IA’s coming into the business have appropriate visas and work with agencies to get work and residence permit within the appropriate time.
Daily supervision of in-house and contracted services on site.
Ensure high levels of customer service through appropriate feedback mechanisms.
Responsible for managing facilities related administration e.g invoices, 3rd party management, IA visa process, etc.
Produce management reporting on agreed KPI’s.
Lead, coach and motivate high performing teams to achieve SLAs and quality standards and continually improve performance.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in both English and Amharic.
Proven administrative, planning and organisational skills.
Expertise in effective third party contractor and supplier management.
Well-developed project management skills.
PC literate with solid MS applications skills (Outlook, Words, Excel and Powerpoint).
Excellent negotiation skills
Team and task oriented, positively receptive to feedback and challenges.
Respond to change in a positive and flexible manner. Shows energy and resilience in delivering what is expected within own area.
Excellent interpersonal / and communication skills.
Highly efficient, attentive to detail, able to work independently and in teams, and to tight deadlines.
