Plan International Ethiopia is looking for a Community Health Facilitator to be based at SNNP PA, Boloso-sore District, Wolayita Zone.
The Role
The position primarily provides technical support and assistance to the health team and system in project operation areas in the development, promotion and implementation of a quality, comprehensive and integrated Health and Nutrition programs in accordance with Plan’s Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) approach. He/she ensures that a simplified and translated CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women) booklet is disseminated in project targeted communities and a quality health program delivery is reflected within the entire project cycle and in all field program implementation. He/she also fulfills this responsibility through the organization and management of the health sector by focusing mainly in the area of strengthening health systems across the continuum of care and community mobilization for improved RMNCH and nutrition behaviors and practices with a particular emphasis to most vulnerable women and adolescent girls, including commercial sex workers and domestic migrant workers. The Person
To be successful, applicants need to have a BA degree in Health Officer, Public Health and Nutrition or related field of studies with a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably in international humanitarian and development organizations or media houses.
Skills
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and skills on other applications such as Microsoft office and SPSS and EPI info would be appropriate
