Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives.
The project is currently seeking qualified Finance Assistant to be based at Addis Ababa. The Finance Assistant will handle daily petty cash and check payments. S/he will be responsible for petty cash reconciliation. S/he will support the finance team in ensuring the smooth operations of cash transactions and maintaining the project’s petty cash supply to be available as needed, with proper back-up documentation.
Job Requirement
University degree in accounting or related field from recognized institution.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in petty cash handling and check preparation.
Good interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
Ability to work independently, take initiative and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to communicate in English & Amharic.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications is required.
Good knowledge in USAID rules and regulations, experience in international NGO preferred.
