JOB SUMMARY
Project Concern International (PCI) a non-government and non-profit international organization dedicated to preventing diseases, improving community health and promoting sustainable development worldwide.
PCI is currently seeking a Program Quality Manager. The purpose of the Program Quality Manager position within PCI is to ensure that project and program processes, outputs and impacts are of the highest quality; build the capacity of staff of the country office, project and government partners for program design and quality support functions, and establish, maintain and build relationships, networks and partnerships with stakeholders including donors. S/he also ensures that PCI’s Community Based Disaster Risk management (CBDRM), and other development and humanitarian programs and policy engagement in Ethiopia are fully in line with organizational policies and priorities, consistently meeting/surpassing international development and humanitarian standards, and increasingly and effectively integrated with its efforts in recovery and development. The PQM is expected to help PCI become a recognized and reliable leader in the integration and promotion of CBDRM, other thematic program areas of the strategic plan,, gender-specific analysis, design and implementation, documentation and reporting, ensuring that the specific vulnerabilities of women and girls are understood and addressed.
The position holder will have a focused and targeted coaching and mentoring to members of the PCI staff as required to ensure the Country Office program design and technical assistance initiatives are aligned with PCI Ethiopia’s mission, strategic objectives and program approaches, and program/ project design tools and principles. S/he supports program teams in the design of new programs and preparation of proposals, and ensuring quality reporting of the projects with special focus on REVIVE. S/he supports program teams in ensuring effectively integrating gender and disability analysis and programming. Moreover, S/he supports program teams in their application of ArcGIS and other technology based solutions to programming.
The incumbent will be an integral member of PCI Ethiopia’s Senior Management Team reporting to PCI Ethiopia CD and serving as the principal guardian of Program Quality and Effectiveness across a range of PCI Ethiopia’s portfolio, and supporting the CD in serving as the principal architect of organizational policy positions in Emergency response resilience and development interventions of PCI Ethiopia.
