· To receive and process all claims made against and on behalf of the company, including employees vehicles insured through the company purchased insurance policies, and gathers all required supporting documents as specified by the insurance company.
· Attends investigations and survey missions together with insurance representatives and company officials conducted during major accidents on insured properties and assets and gathers all facts and documents required for the claim processing.
· Contacts each department to collect supporting documents required by the insurance company.
· Follows up all claims up to settlement by keeping track of the date of submission of the claims, notification date to the insurance company, date of Debit Note raised by Finance Department, claim amount, date of sending all required documents to the insurance company and settlement amount and date, resulting losses.
· Participates in risk assessment of assets and operations and advises mitigation measures or risk transfer through the purchase of specific insurance policies.
· Works closely with operational units and Finance Department to determine the insured value of newly acquired or changed assets, equipment, properties and businesses and make sure that they are insured before being operational.
· Advises the company on cost effective risk management policies, procedures and controls.
· Coordinates the activity of updating the value of company assets, equipment, properties and businesses in-line with the Group procedures and insurance standard practices for the yearly insurance policy renewal and submits for validation prior to floating the tender.
· Ensures that insurance policies are carefully kept in the vital records of the company and keeps a complete list of active policies.
· Prepares and presents monthly reports and as requested on new accident and claims, settlements and outstanding claims status.
· Follows existing regulations and policies related to insurance issued by the government and informs the company as soon as new regulations and policies are put into practice.
Performs any other duty as assigned by the Legal Service and Insurance Manager or his superiors.Educational Background
· BA in Procurement , Supplies Management, Marketing, Management, or related fields
Experience
· Minimum of three years of direct relevant experience in the field or similar positions
Skills Required
· Demonstrated knowledge in Insurance claim processing and handling
· Knowledge of the most common insurance policies and coverage
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Excellent written and spoken English
· Excellent analytical abilities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
