PSI/Ethiopia is an innovative network member of PSI with a team of more than 140 people passionate about marketing and dedicated to serving Sara! Since 2003, we have marketed products and led programs to prevent HIV, improve reproductive health, and improve child health. We market condoms and increase condom use among people most at risk of HIV. We increase access to clean water by selling Wuha Agar, a water disinfectant. At PSI/Ethiopia we do more than simply provide products and services, we seek to create true change – by making markets work for the poor – to increase the use of critical health products and services that are available, affordable, and desirable to the most vulnerable Ethiopian people.
MULU/MARPs HIV/AIDS Prevention Project is the USAID flagship combination prevention program with a goal to contribute to the government’s commitment to reduce new HIV infection by 50% through 2012/13 - 2016. For the last 4 years, the project has been implemented in 169 high HIV transmission towns through combination prevention package of standard services; behavioral, biomedical and structural interventions.
As a prime partner, PSI/E has been implementing the full packages along with range of Charity and Societies Organization (CSOs) and GoE. To implement and lead HIV Prevention effort, about 25 Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) have been implementing the project with vast scope through extended and robust partnership. As combination prevention, it uses holistic approach to mitigate the HIV epidemic targeting the most vulnerable groups of the community.
We are looking for an Individual Consultant on Project Management and Sustainability Training to enhance the organizational capacity of all subs partners and LIP’s in project management and outcome sustainability. It is to improve town level ownership and responsibility to lead and sustain key project gains to different level and appropriates structures. It covers both the management and sustainability aspect of the project creating an appropriate interface and interplay for successful results.
