1. Position: Associate, Clearing and Settlement

Reports to: Manager, Clearing and Settlement
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible to handle members and settlement banks enquiries. Handle and follow up member account opening, closing and suspension. Liaison for settlement banks, membership, Trading Operations, legal service and other functional units in relation with cash settlement process. Produce regular settlement process related reports; ensure smooth settlement work flow and completion as per SLA.
SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Handle and follow up bank account opening and closing, maintain and archive related documents regularly,
· Send and receive electronic bank instructions with its exception process, follow up smooth work flow of the settlement process, and maintain related SLA records regularly,
· Handle internal and external enquiries specific to cash and commodity settlement,
· Handle distribution of MCP, NOR, PSA Notes, their duplicate report delivery and keep necessary records regularly,
· Generate different cash and commodity settlement related reports regularly,
· Liaison with settlement banks, NBE, warehouse operators, Trading Operations, membership, Treasury and Budget Control, legal service and other functional divisions of the Exchange,
· Ensure all pay-in accounts are debited with the knowledge of ECX, compile new-money record, identify the existence of discrepancies and notify the same to respective banks and immediate supervisor regularly,
· Identify potential risk areas of the cash and commodity settlement process, and those improvement areas that can improve the customer service delivery and timely report to the immediate supervisor on time,
· Handle and follow up all outgoing letters are properly distributed and necessary records are maintained,
· Participate on annual individual performance planning.
· Decide on their day to day activities and plans.
· Performs other Clearing and Settlement related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
· BA in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or other relevant business field of study and 2 years in domestic banking operation or other operational activities.
