Job Purpose:
Under direct supervision and directives of the VCOO/COO, plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the overall Auto-Fleet activities of all companies under ABIG. Monitor and control fleet utilization, Fuel consumption and handle Forklift and Generator management. Develop fleet administration, standards, annual budgets; and periodic reports on operating costs (purchasing or renting) and controlling overall maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of vehicles, accident reporting process, and other procedures. Follow up the overall fleet activities and make sure each company operation under ABIG is running smoothly and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ø Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the overall Auto-Fleet activities of all companies under ABIG
Ø Monitor and track the movement of Fleet/Auto on daily basis and report each truck performance accordingly
Ø Control the overall activities of the vehicles using GPS across all companies of ABIG and make sure the operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Ø Perform other related activities like Generators and forklift maintenance follow up.
Ø Analyse Fleet Utilizations and fuel consumption on daily basis. Control both Sales and Service vehicles of ABIG and its sister companies.
Ø Track Fleet performance versus forecast/budget on a Daily/Weekly/ Monthly/ Yearly basis.
Ø Direct fleet-related risk management training, such as safety and accident prevention programs, and negotiate insurance matters and develop driver's manuals to keep employees informed about their fleet programs.
Ø Analyse and determine what vehicles (Car/Minibus/Truck, etc.) to purchase/rent, and how they are to be equipped.
Ø Create/update fleet policy and procedures, to include vehicle assignment, personal use, replacement policy, accident-reporting process, and other procedures.
Ø Determine what fleet processes should be considered, to which suppliers they should be awarded, and to act as primary contact with relevant suppliers. Track supplier performance, and train drivers in using the programs.
Ø Manage or perform regular rent vs. purchase analysis in concert with corporate finance departments.
Ø Oversee and administrate of the Gauge activities on daily basis.
Ø Work closely with concerned Managers and Plant Managers for timely loading and unloading activities.
Ø Aware fleet safety procedures, determine chargeability of all accidents, and execute company fleet policy when action is required.
Ø Prepare fleet expense and capital budgets, to submit for approval to management.
Ø Report fleet expense performance regularly to management, including an annual report when submitting the coming year’s budget.
Ø Work closely with the Garage team for timely preventive and periodic maintenance.
Ø Work closely with concerned Managers and Plant Managers for timely loading and unloading activities.
Ø Manage, assign, and track use of pool vehicles among sister companies of ABIG as required.
Ø Perform related duties as assigned or as situations dictate.
Qualification:
· BSc Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and related field of study
Work Experience:
· At least 6 years of experience in Fleet Management and related activities out of which 2 years supervisory experience.
