ROLE PURPOSE:
The ECCD Project officer will ensure the implementation of Save the children’s ECCD program with in the Refugee camp, ensuring that all potential Preschool Children are reached and quality education is provided in a safe and protective environment.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ECCD/CFS annual plan, implement and monitor ECCD/CFS activities and ensure that program objectives and activities are in line with in the context of Save the children, values, aims and objectives.
Ensure that all refugee children in the camp are benefited from the ECCD and CFS services and follow up of the day to day activities of ECCD and CFS centers, follow up the day today activities of teachers, head teachers, ECCD and CFS coordinators and PTCs.
Ensure program integration is in place between ECCD and child protection programs.
Play key roles in coordinating and supervising ECCD related activities and in coordination with implementing partners.
Produce and submit quality and analytical periodic reports to Save the children, government and donor organizations.
Share information on the progress of and challenges of ECCD/CFS program activity with Save the children program staff and line manager.
Organize capacity building training for teachers, head teachers, ECCD and CFS coordinators, CFS facilitators, and PTC and community members.
Strengthen the documentation and data management system for all ECCD and CFS related activities and inform the proper usage of the data in a proactive manner.
Take measures and recommend directions to improve the quality of child protection works and to maximize the benefit children should get from it.
Follow the up the proper functioning of the facilities availed in the youth center and elsewhere by Save the children to render services in the principle of value for money.

Effective implementation of ECCD program activities in the context of Bambasi refugee camp.
Regular and timely monitoring and evaluation of ECCD and CFS activities
Documentation and experience sharing of progress and challenges
Coordination with ARRA, UNHCR and implementing partners in all areas of preschool education and child friendly space services.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Experience in working in refugee camps in the area of Education and preferably in Early Child Hood Care and Development (ECCD) programs.
Willing ness to live in hardship area and to work extra hours.
