WASH Expert
Main duties:
· Support in the technical design and supervision of all water, sanitation and hygiene project interventions (Rural water schemes constructions and rehabilitations, Hygiene and sanitation campaigns, capacity building, etc.)
· Control progress and quality of the activities through periodical monitoring and evaluation visits, and also by giving technical advice to field staff, ensuring that objectives are reached and that indicators are measured throughout the programme life cycle.
· Participate to WASH technical working groups with consortium partners and external forums.
· Support in the preparation of new project proposals with regard to the WASH sector.
Qualification and experience:
· Master in Water Engineering.
· Minimum 3 years experience in WASH Project/Program management.
· Good understanding of Humanitarian Standards and adherence to Humanitarian Principles.
· Strong Management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
· Having training skills;
· Highly organized, efficient, and able to meet key deadlines
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Highly developed inter-personal skills/inter-cultural sensitivity;
· Competence in IT;
· Ability to work under pressure in harsh environment;
· The post holder is expected to make frequent field visits in project areas (Afar, Oromia, and SNNPRS)
· Languages: English fluently spoken and written.
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Availability: As soon as possible
Type of employment: One year temporary contract with possible renewal
Salary: Monthly basic salary of 12,500 ETB + 1,000 birr monthly transport allowance + pension fund and medical insurance + plus other organization benefits.
