Job Summary
The Admin/Finance and HR Officer position is an exciting opportunity for Digital Green – Ethiopia and will bring creative problem-solving skills and will be a great support to the in-country team as a whole. S/he will primarily report to the Finance Manager and for HR activities to the Senior HR Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimum supervision and be willing to take initiative and support the in-country team to ensure that we are compliant with Digital Green’s regulations as well as that of donors. Additionally, s/he will support the coordination of Administration, Finance and HR set of activities for the country portfolio.
S/he is expected to be a proactive team player and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Finance and Administrative aspect of the role will require strong collaboration skills and the ability to problem solve with the information available at the time. The HR aspect of this role will require strong coordination and implementation skills in order to support a breadth projects and activities in collaboration with the Technical team and the F&A team. The ideal candidate will adopt a customer-service approach and will provide support to the team in a timely and efficient manner.
Additionally, the Admin/Finance and HR Officer will be a highly-skilled communicator, fast learner, with the ability to adapt quickly to new organizational developments. The candidate will be able to partner with the technical team to create compliance awareness. The ideal candidate will be able to facilitate effective administration of our various Finance and HR activities by building relevant reports, tools and templates and initiating data-driven improvements to our current tools and systems – such as expense tracking, travel days, determining costs per regions, systematically managing equipment, etc.
