Amref Health Africa would like to recruit Human Resource Officer for its country office.
The job holder will be based in Addis Ababa, Country Office and reports to the HR and Admin Manager.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for assisting Amref Ethiopia country office in the day to day HR related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ü Provide support throughout the recruitment process including, preparation of job adverts, circulation of job advertisements, receiving applications, communication to candidates as well as recruitment panels,
ü Ensure induction, orientation, annual performance review and exit procedures are timely conducted for all staff as required,
ü Monitor staff contracts and initiate review of contract through necessary communication to supervisors,
ü Prepare contract renewals as per instructions from Country Representative/immediate supervisor,
ü Provide relevant information and support to staff, supervisors; council on human resource service related issues,
ü Maintain confidential personnel records,
ü Facilitate staff performance appraisal process,
ü Follow up leave requests, ensure appropriate leave authorization and administration as per policy,
ü Update and maintain accurate staff leave balance record at all times,
ü Responsible for staff welfare and facilitate timely support to staff per the Human Resource Policy and Procedures,
ü Keep an up to date staff rules and regulation documents in line with the HR corporate office,
ü Administer staff insurances, medical scheme and pension benefits as per relevant policy and regulation,
ü Timely update the Human Resources Management Information System(HRMIS),
ü Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION:
ü BA Degree in the field of Human Resource Management, Business Management or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
ü Minimum four years of work experiences in related field.
ü Working experience in international NGO is advantageous.
ü USAID experience is mandatory.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
ü Strong analytical skills and interpersonal relationship with diverse group of people.
ü Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
ü Fluency in English and Amharic languages.
ü Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
ü Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
Terms of employment: one year with possible extension
