One of the most critical issues for Save the Children is our ability to attract and retain talented people at all levels of the organization in a competitive labor market. Staff opinions as well as exit interviews indicate that the current pay level of Save the Children doesn’t seem competitive and as a result, the organization is losing competent and high caliber staffs at different level. With a view of revising the current pay scale, a job evaluation was done in June 2016 for representative jobs of the organizations by a job evaluation committee through facilitation of an external consultant. HAY job evaluation technique was deployed to establish job grades based on the three know job factors, namely, Know how, Problem Solving and Accountability and accordingly, 13 job grades were identified ranging from custodian to executive level jobs. Revision of the current salary scale is a continuation of the job evaluation exercise intended to establish a competitive remuneration. therefore, Save the Children Ethiopia Country Office wants to hire competent Consulting firms for a qualified consultant who will conduct revision of the salary scale.
