As an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations, the federally owned Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its development-policy objectives. GIZ promotes complex reforms and change processes.
In Ethiopia, GIZ has been working for more than 50 years in bilateral cooperation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian government and international donors.
Sport for Development in Africa (S4DA) is GIZ program commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian Government and International Donors. GIZ-S4DA Ethiopia is looking to recruit an Intern for GIZ Office as specified below.
Position: Intern
Remuneration: As per the GIZ scale
Duration Period: 6 Month
Application deadline: May 30, 2017
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Responsibilities:
• The intern supports the S4DA Team Ethiopia with organizational, administrative and office management such as:
· Support daily office operations
· Support with procurement and contract matters
· Preparation of service requests and financial vouchers
· Coordination of business trips (domestic & international), travel and hotel accommodation arrangements
· Dealing with travel settlements
· Organization of partner meetings
· Supporting Events & PR
Competences:
· Ability to approach and build confidence with people of different backgrounds (company managers, owners of small and medium companies, university faculties and students)
· Motivation to take assignment and to complete given assignment in due time
• Able to operate and work in multi-stakeholder teams;
· Good analytical skills;
· Solution orientation;
· Basic English language skills, both written and oral;
· Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office;
Qualifications and Experience:
· Recent graduate degree in business administration or related fields
· 0 years of Work experience.
· Initial experience (internship or similar) in this area is an advantage
· Knowledge in administration/management
· Experience and knowledge in application Microsoft Office software
· Very good Amharic and English language skills, written and oral; German language skill is an advantage
· High degree of efficiency, team-working, integrity and accountability
· Affinity for sport and interest in the subject sport for development is an advantage.
