Background
CBM, Christoffel Blindenmission/Christian Blind Mission International, is an international Christian development organization whose primary mission is to improve the quality of life of people living with disabilities in the poorest countries around the world. Based on its Christian values and over 100 years of professional expertise, CBM addresses poverty as a cause, and a consequence, of disability, and works in partnership to create a society for all. CBM works with persons with disabilities, their families, local partner organizations, and alliance partners including national and local Governments, UN agencies, international and national non-governmental organizations, and Disabled Persons’ Organizations (DPOs). CBM’s vision is an inclusive world in which all persons with disabilities enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential.
CBM is a child-safe organization. CBM is committed to keeping children safe globally from abuse through awareness raising, prevention, responding and reporting and the implementation of CBM’s Child Safeguarding Policy. CBM believes that every child has the right to protection, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and whether or not they have a disability.
