GOAL Ethiopia is currently working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders and responds to humanitarian crises in Ethiopia by working closely with local communities, local government and other key actors with a strong emphasis on resiliency, preparedness and longer term impacts. ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Livelihoods Programme Coordinator to join the organization. You will liaise with and provide regular advice and manage livelihoods programme and/or projects.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Livelihoods Programme Coordinator who will be responsible to liaise with and provide regular advice and manage livelihoods programme and/or projects. You will be also liaise with Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) manager and provides regular advice on agriculture based nutrition intervention, Emergency Agriculture response and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects. Livelihoods Programme Coordinator may also be asked to liaise with and support other Rural Development Programme and Humanitarian Response Programme staff as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences:
· Excellent knowledge of national and international development policy.
· Very good knowledge of household food security, market systems and value chain pogramming.
· Well established knowledge on improved agricultural technologies and business development skill.
· Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of Livelihoods and Agriculture and at least two of the following sectoral areas - WASH, Health, HIV/ AIDS, Education, Gender, Child Protection and Community Participation.
· Proven experience in quality report writing and proposal/concept note development.
· Good programme finance management skill.
· Wide ranging knowledge and experience of M&E tools, systems and approaches.
· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
· Experience in training/workshop facilitation.
· Flexible and creative approach, highly motivated and able to take the initiative and work unsupervised.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary- Birr 25,191.00 - 33, 019.00 /month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary.
Taxi fare – 300 birr/month.
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Pension - as per the government pension scheme (11% from the employer and 7% from the employee).
