ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Nutrition Officer to join the organization. You will be responsible to work closely with the programme and support team at field office in East Hararge Zone and Nutrition focal person at East Hararge Zone health office.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Nutrition Officer who will be responsible for the overall implementation of the pilot nutrition system strengthening project in East Hararge Zone, Oromia Region. The Nutrition Officer seconded to East Hararge Zone Health office and will be sitting with in East Hararge Zone Health office.
• BSc/Diploma in Public Health, Nursing or related field with a minimum of five years relevant experience for BSc holder and seven years related experience for Diploma holder
• Have a demonstrated experience in emergency nutrition programme, notably CMAM and running other feeding programme
• Have experience in treatments of malnutrition and running of feeding programme
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences:
• Strong knowledge of operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation and report writing,
• Good knowledge, understanding and implementation of integrated Rural Development and emergency Programme activities,
• Ability to plan and organize work to meet individual, team and programme objective,
• Training and facilitation skill,
• Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,
• Fosters working in teams & team work spirit, coach and lead staff.
• Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local language,
• Continually looks to improve personal skill, knowledge and work hence contribute to capacity building within the team and organization,
• Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
• Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
• Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary- Birr 15,620.00 /month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary.
Hardship Allowance, 30% of monthly salary.
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Pension - as per the government pension scheme (11% from the employer and 7% from the
employee).
