The primary goal of project is to support strengthening the national routine immunization program through support on advocacy and communication, generating demand for vaccines, improving vaccination coverage, optimizing vaccine impact, new vaccine introduction, improving data management and improving equity of access to immunization services to reduce illnesses and deaths from vaccine-preventable diseases. Regional project coordinator will be seconded to Ethiopia Somali regional health bureau based in Jigjiga, Ethiopia.
PATH seeks to recruit a Regional Project Coordinator for Immunization who will work as part of a Technical Support Team, and will provide technical assistance to Somali Regional Immunization team, Constantly communicate and maintain relationships with the Regional Health Bureau, Zonal Health Departments and Woreda Health Offices as well as Social committee influential members, Lead the facilitation of advocacy workshop for the leaders in the project districts, including the regional social mobilization committees, oversee the implementation of the project at specific districts and supervise project staffs in the region under the direction of the Technical Support Team Program Manager. The Regional Project Coordinator will be based in Jigjiga. S/he should be fluent in Somali language.
