Build from scratch, lead and motivate a high performance sales and distribution organization to effectively plan and deliver on the business objectives.
Duties and tasks
Create and implement effective sales strategies and lead sales team to achieve the sales objectives.
Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Provide sales management, budget control and incentive planning.
Support effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of the sales and distribution teams.
Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews
Proactively identify changes and competitive pressures in the market to develop and modify strategies/tactics accordingly.
Monitor and report on competitor activity/strategy.
Prepare and manage to exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Develop and grow key customer and distributor relationships.
Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments in the business (Marketing, Finance, Production, and supply chain), to address key business issues and opportunities.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirement
Requirements
MBA/BA in Sales and Marketing, economics/business administration Accounting or Finance or related fields Experience:
Minimum 6 years in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, across wholesale and retail, with good supply chain knowledge.
At least 3 years managing a national sales and distribution team with P&L responsibility.
A solid understanding of the Ethiopian water market - brands, operations, companies and technologies

Solid understanding of retail space and FMCG operating issues.
Fluent in Amharic and English. Other local languages a plus.
Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high performing sales team.
