ACDI/VOCA Ethiopia would like to invite applications for position with the Feed Enhancement for Ethiopian Development Project– Phases II & III (FEED II and III): Grants Manager. Begun in 2013 and to continue through 2020, FEED (phases II and III) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and implemented by ACDI/VOCA. The overall goal of FEED is to increase the incomes of Ethiopian smallholder livestock producers by improving access to, and use of, consistent, affordable, high quality animal feed that can support greater livestock productivity and efficiency. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Grants Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assistance in identification of promising grant opportunities in consultation with technical and management staff.
- Acceptance and review of concept notes and grant applications, correspondence with applicants and assisting them with proposal development
- Development and management of all grant documents
- Facilities review and approval process of concept notes and/or grant applications,
- Maintaining comprehensive files, including correspondence, approvals and complete sets of documents for each grant.
- Lead the grant review process.
- Assure grant process compliance with USDA and ACDI/VOCA regulations as set forth in the grants manual.
- Provide training, instructions and direct assistance to project field staffs and
- Working with grantees/partners as needed to ensure understanding and compliance with grant agreements
- Directly supervise grant activities implementation.
- Contribution to work plan development;
- Writing and submission of reports in a timely manner as requested;
- Other duties as assigned by the project DCoP/technical advisor or CoP.
Qualifications:
- University degree required; Masters preferred
- 8+ years of experience in implementing development projects
- 4+ years of experience with grant or contract management and compliance
- Previous experience with USDA or USAID projects required
- Experience with agriculture and livestock in particular preferred
- Fluency in English and Amharic, written and spoken, required
- Exceptional technical writing skills in English
- Proficiency with software such as Word, Excel, SPSS, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. required
