Background:
Innovative Humanitarian Solutions (IHS)-Ethiopia is a child focused Humanitarian Organization which has been registered according to the new CSO legislation recently as an International charity organization on June 25, 2013 (certificate bearing number 3075) and renewed its license on Feb 2016 and currently operating in Tigray and Harrari Regions.
To this end IHS-Ethiopia in partnership with Lumos, an international children’s charity set up to end the systematic and harmful practice of the institutionalization of children and support family based care, would like to recruit interested and qualified applicant for the proposed unaccompanied migrants and refugee children programme aims to establish and strengthen alternative family care systems of refugee children in Shire, northern Ethiopia.
Role purpose summary:
The Research and Evidence Officer will be based at shire. S/He will take responsibility for undertake data collecting activities, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. And ensure the activities and commitments made are fulfilled. Documentation of best practices and learning will be shared to replicate in other areas.
