Job Title: Construction Supervisor Coordinator (CSC)- (National Position)

Being an employee of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ethiopia the Logistics Officer is expected to represent NRC in a responsible manner and always act in accordance with NRC’s Code of Conduct.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The main role of the CSC will be planning, supervision, coordination and leadership to the construction team in Gambella Refugee camps and NRC’s partner personnel in order implement a delegated technical project portfolio.
He/She will be required to provide technical and supervisory support to contractor teams engaged, as well as assist AM to arrive at sound technical and cost effective solutions.

A. Planning and design
b. Coordination and implementation
· Supervise the subordinate team throughout the projects
· Under the supervision of the AM and with support of Shelter Specialist implement all construction, maintenance and repair activities as defined by the project and technical requirements.
· Ensure that the outlined project requirements are achieved, all activities are implemented and documented as specified in the donor agreements
· Identify direct and indirect beneficiary needs in terms of access to the buildings/structures, infrastructure, WASH facilities and other community services, taking into consideration the specific needs of vulnerable individuals and persons of concern.
· Ensure daily monitoring of the quality of construction and the progress of project/works implementation.
· Conduct regular meeting with the construction companies’ representatives and document and share the outcome of the meeting with the AM and Shelter Specialist
· Prepare Order Request forms, Purchase Orders, Payment Requests and other standard documents to enable timely delivery of materials, works and services.
c. Monitoring and reporting
· Be responsible for communication of project requirements and deadlines to suppliers, contractors, NRC staff and other hired workers.
· Ensure regular and timely reporting of problems, potential delays or risks to project implementation to the AM, and support in the development and execution of solutions and mitigating actions.
· Support the NRC M&E team in drafting the survey form to measure the project’s impact on the beneficiaries
· Coordinate with all supporting departments as finance, HR, procurement and logistic etc
· Represent NRC in all relevant meeting platforms on regional level
· Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the AM
